The Parent Center, began by the Junior League of Little Rock, provides everything a parent needs: access to professional parenting educators, well-researched resources, parenting classes and more.
Community-based parent education programs include weekly class series, single workshops and specialized seminars that address the issues of today’s parents. Topics include parenting the strong-willed child, managing ADHD, blending stepfamilies and much more.
The Parent Center’s Young Moms/Dads-Healthy Families program reaches out to teen moms and teen dads with support services so they can complete their education, be self-sufficient and provide the best care possible for their children.
The Parent Resource Center gives parents in the community access to evidence-based, well-researched publications on parenting, including books, magazines, brochures, facts sheets and access to the Internet.
The Center tests children with suspected learning disabilities for language and academic strengths and weaknesses and provides parents with answers for improving those weaknesses.
